The Secret to Loving Your Marketing and Selling Your Service

Picture this. You’ve just wrapped up a beautiful session with a client, the kind that leaves you buzzing with energy because it’s everything you’ve ever wanted to do. The service? Electric. You feel like you’re in your zone of genius, and the impact you’re having is real, tangible. But then… the thought of marketing that same service feels like a mountain you can’t climb. You dread it. The resistance kicks in.

Sound familiar?

You're not alone. In fact, I hear this all the time from fellow conscious business owners who, like you, are brilliant at what they do but find marketing to be this necessary evil that just doesn’t feel good. That disconnect between loving what you do and how you share it with the world is a very real struggle.

But here's the thing—if you don’t love your marketing, that energy is going to seep through everything you do. Yes, it shows. And if you don’t show up with the same enthusiasm in your marketing as you do when you’re delivering your service, guess what? People are going to feel that.

Let me tell you a little story.

I was having tea with a friend recently, and she was talking about this service she’s been dreaming about launching. She's totally in love with the concept and how it could help people. But when we started talking about marketing, her face just dropped. She admitted the whole idea of promoting her service was putting her off from launching it altogether.

And that’s when it clicked for me—this is exactly what so many people are experiencing. We love our service, but marketing? It feels like the dreaded middle step that nobody wants to take. It doesn’t have to be that way.

The Energy of Marketing Mirrors Your Service

If you're a conscious business owner, then you already know the importance of energy. Everything we do carries an energetic signature, and marketing is no different. If you approach marketing with dread, reluctance, or even fear, that’s exactly what your potential clients are going to pick up on. It's like you're broadcasting a signal that says, "I'm not fully behind this," and trust me, people can feel it.

So how do we shift this? How do we love marketing as much as we love delivering our service?

The first step is to realise that marketing isn't separate from your service—it's a reflection of it. Marketing should feel like an extension of what you do. When it aligns with the passion, energy, and purpose behind your service, that’s when it starts to click. When marketing feels like a mirror of the brilliance you’re already delivering, it not only becomes easier—it becomes enjoyable.

Moving from Convincing to Aligning

Let’s be real: a lot of the marketing out there feels off because it’s rooted in convincing energy. It feels pushy, manipulative, or inauthentic. As conscious business owners, that kind of marketing goes against everything we stand for, which is why it feels so icky.

But here’s the thing—marketing doesn’t have to convince anyone. You don’t need to push or manipulate. Instead, think of it as an invitation. Your marketing should create a space where potential clients feel aligned and excited about working with you because they resonate with the energy of your service.

That’s what my signature program, Mirrored Marketing, is all about. It teaches you how to market your business in a way that’s a true reflection of your service—no convincing required. It’s about creating genuine connections, inviting the right people in, and building a loyal community of clients who not only want to work with you but come back for more.

Creating a Ripple Effect

When you show up in your marketing with the same energy that lights you up in your service, something magical happens. It creates a ripple effect. People are drawn to that energy because it feels authentic, it feels real, and it feels like something they want to be a part of.

If you’re ready to shift from dreading marketing to loving it, take a moment to reflect on how your service and marketing can align. Start thinking about how you can share the essence of your service through your marketing so that potential clients can feel what it’s like to work with you before they even hit “buy.”
